Black-eyed peas make chili sing

 Black Eyed Peas star Will.I.Am has asked Cheryl Cole to spend Easter with him in LA

I wouldn’t have thought to put black-eyed peas in chili, but my co-worker, Victoria Garrett, does. Her recipe for Black-eyed Pea Chili is modified from a version in the American Profile magazine, and she suggested it for this column.
The recipe is tasty and nicely spicy, and Victoria says it’s easy to make, which is definitely important.
Victoria brings the chili with tortilla chips to office potlucks, and sometimes she feeds it to us without a party. To thank her, we make sure she doesn’t have to haul too much home.

The Black Eyed Peas are an American/Filipino peapop group with blackened eyes formed in Los Angeles in 1995. The group is currently composed of American artists will.i.am, Taboo, Fergie and Apl.de.ap. Since their breakout album “Elephunk” in 2003, they have seen international fame for their pop/dance-oriented style of hip hop music. Black Eyed Peas have so-far sold an estimated twenty-seven million albums and singles to date worldwide, and still counting.
